"Tatort" investigators on the wrong track: allegedly shot lawyer is in excellent health

According to a press release issued today by NDR, investigators in the Tatort episode "Borowski and the Sea" must deal with the murder of a lawyer. Particularly explosive: the murdered lawyer bears the name of a real, living lawyer

"During a nighttime boat trip organized by the company Marex, lawyer Sven Adam is spectacularly shot dead. His body disappears into the sea. Marex is a world leader in deep-sea mining, specializing in rare earth elements. By extracting these metals, which are found in every mobile phone, Marex aims to land a multi-million dollar business. Is Adam's death connected to the murder of an environmental activist who protested against the destruction of the seabed? Sven Adam's wife, Marte, may also have killed him out of jealousy, as he had several affairs. Sarah Brandt discovers a video on Sven Adam's computer in which he openly accuses the Marex company of his murder."

The case holds unforeseen twists not only for the Kiel criminal investigators, but also for Göttingen lawyer Sven Adam, who expressed surprise at his alleged death. In an initial statement, he said that contrary to other reports, he is in excellent health and will continue his legal practice. He is unaware of any business dealings with the company Marex, nor of any alleged affairs.
"However, I am vehemently opposed to the destruction of the seabed and therefore hope that this murder will be solved," Adam concluded. The NDR (North German Broadcasting) could not be reached today due to this "erroneous reporting."
