The Covid-19 infection situation in the building complex at Groner Landstraße 9 ac has now also drawn the attention of the courts. Since yesterday, urgent applications have been filed with authorities and courts on behalf of two families, seeking their immediate relocation to other private and municipal accommodations away from the building complex at Groner Landstraße 9 ac. The proceedings will be heard by the Hildesheim Social Court, the Göttingen Administrative Court, and the Göttingen District Court.
One of the cases involves a married couple, aged 38 and 31, with their children, aged 9 and 3. All family members have tested negative for the Covid-19 virus twice. The family received the most recent result yesterday. "We have found private accommodation for the family in the district and are demanding immediate placement in this private apartment, with full cost coverage, for the duration of the current infection situation on Groner Landstraße. The family's continued residence in the building complex is irresponsible for health reasons alone – but without cost coverage, the family, who are indigent, cannot leave," explains attorney Sven Adam, outlining the current course of action.
The second case involves a family consisting of parents aged 32 and 26 and their children, aged 9 and 5. Two family members have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. One of the positive family members suffers from a significant pre-existing condition. "The situation in the building complex at Groner Landstraße 9 ac is also unbearable for this family. For the sake of their recovery and to protect the other family members who have tested negative, the family must be moved to alternative accommodation to complete the necessary quarantine under medical and psychosocial care," Adam stated regarding this case.

We, too, are committed to giving a voice to those who already live on the margins of society and helping them obtain their rights.
