We are participating in https://zusammenland.de/case-study/mit-recht-zum-recht/

Since November 17, 2022, we have been participating in the project "Asylum Seeker Benefits – With Right to Justice" from https://zusammenland.de/case-study/mit-recht-zum-recht/

Because (from the explanation at https://zusammenland.de/case-study/mit-recht-zum-recht/):

Things are going wrong – nationwide.

In asylum seeker benefits law, 90% of all decisions are incorrect. People with tolerated stay status – but not only those – receive less money than the law stipulates.

It's not just about a few euros, but about considerable sums. Back payments in the four-figure range are not uncommon.

The following are faulty:

  • no switch to higher analog power levels
  • No benefits for newborns until the appointment at the immigration office
  • Electricity costs can also be deducted for the lower benefits according to § 3, 3a AsylbLG
  • incorrect standard benefit level
  • Reduction of accommodation costs
  • Reduction to a minimum due to lack of cooperation

Money is being withheld that is urgently needed for living expenses and integration.
